The process for applying for a family court hearing can be daunting. We can assist. More importantly, we can advise on your best course of action, which may not be a court application.
Legal aid is not available for everyone, and solicitors are costly. We can advise on whether you may be eligible for legal aid. For male victims of domestic abuse we may be able to assist in providing the required documentary evidence.
Through our network of solicitors across Wales we can organise an initial consultation with a solicitor free of charge.
50% of male victims of domestic abuse do not initially appreciate that what they are experiencing is abuse. We provide an assessment of your risk or exposure to domestic abuse.
We now have 3 accredited Safelives IDVA'S within the charity.
Feedback from our service users has told us that emotional support from understanding people is extremely important. We have a self-help "Buddy Group" to facilitate this, and a team of volunteer Buddies to provide additional help to those who need it.
The charity provides inputs to consultations, etc., of relevance to family law and/or domestic abuse, especially as regards the fathers' perspective. We contribute to reseach and run campaigns to underwrite these activities.
